RRF files Articles of Incorpration to become a non-profit corp, and obtains an Employer Identification Number.

6-26-03

RRF Articles of Incorporation are resubmited and approved by the State of Florida.

7-20-03

RRF adopts By-laws and appoints a board of directors.

7-29-03

RRF files an amendment to its articles of incorporation. Spelling shall read as Raggs' Reef Foundation.

First meeting of the RRF and the AREEC.

10-11-03

RRF first site survey dives.

RRF second site survey dives.

RRF files for EIN Name change.

RRF Third site survey dives.

RRF submits the site survey to Palm Beach County ERM for a new permit from the ARMY Corp of Engineers.

RRF submits forms 8718, 1023, and 872-c to the IRS for 501C3 tax exemption status. (36 pages and months worth of work)

RRF second meeting with the AREEC. (the AREEC gives RRF its blessing to build a reef!!)

IRS requires more information for tax exempt determination.

RRF amends articles of INC to include a disolution clause, and obtains a letter stating AREEC permision to build a reef.

RRF sends additional info to IRS (9 pages).

RRF files 2004 UBR.

RRF site vist at ORA.

RRF recieves an advanced ruling from the IRS and becomes tax exempt.

RRF obtains 2004 florida sales tax exemption

RRF (AREEC) obtains a premit from the state of Florida to build a reef

RRF files 2005 UBR, 2004 Taxes, and obtains a 2005 state sales tax exemption

Palm Beach County Commision aproves an agreement to allow RRF to build a reef named Raggs' Reef

Fisheries impact statment, and archeological survey submited to the ACOE and DEP

Clarification on two issues for fisheries impact assesment sent back to ACOE

More clarification sent to the ACOE

ACOE says that it intends to issue the permit. The actual writing of the permit may take some time

ACOE sends a letter of intent to issue the permit to ERM

May  2006

ACOE issues the permit to allow construction of Raggs' Reef

Raggs' Reef is completed

Raggs" Reef Foundation Inc. is closed and will no longer conduct business as a 501c3. This does not mean that we can no longer buld another reef. The permit is ours and can still be used.
