Boynton w/ Splashdown

Shawn and BKC
Afternoon dive
Beautiful weather
Ripping N current

Viz was only 40 feet or so w/ a lot of back scatter in the photos
First dive was on Black Condo. Awesome as always.
Second dive was on Lyn’s. Cap’n said to stay on top so that we would not have too much n2 for a third dive on Raggs. So in typical fashion we went down for the inside edge right to the bottom….. So much for conventional wisdom. Big bug but none in the bag.
Came up short so that we had some air left for a quick dive on raggs before heading in.

Surprised to see how many fish were on Raggs. Several nice grouper etc etc. I saw 5 eels. One rock had 3 eels under it. Later came to find out that PBC reef monitors were there one week later to do a formal fish survey. They counted 750 fish 50 species and 20 families, including two Jew fish, how cool is that??  The reef had settled a bit maybe a foot or more. It looked a little different that the first time I had seen it. The rubble field was gone, and several rocks had shifted and fallen over. No significant growth yet, but it is still early.

Good day, glad to see raggs reef
